Happy New Year!! I hope everyone is having fun with their new year resolutions 😉 I didn’t set any this year, so instead I just wrote a list of the all crap things I wanted to get rid of and burnt it and then another list of all the things I want to welcome in 2019.
I realised I hadn’t written a blog since June! So I thought I would start the year off writing about some of the weddings trends you are expected to see in 2019, so without further delay, here we are…
When the very beautiful Meghan Markle walked down the aisle in that very simple Givenchy dress she had already started the trend for this year. The classic, simple and elegant dresses are in, you will expect to see little embellishment and very clean lines for this style, there are some beautiful ones around and you should never underestimate the power of a simple dress. If you want something with a bit of sass and edge then bridal jumpsuits are a big yes this year. Crop tops and skirts have made a come back if you fancy something a bit different and a little revealing.
So, firstly the panetone colour of the year is ‘Living coral’ which is an uplifting and energising colour that can be incorporated in to your wedding colours to add some brightness. I would say it is a happy, summer colour and would look fabulous on bridesmaids or used in your bouquet. You could tie in your make up by using a pretty coral or peach shade on your cheeks or lips or even opt for a golden coral on your eyes which will make them sparkle, especially you blue and green eyed girls.
Bright yellow is in too, I’m thinking big beautiful sunflowers or yellow roses. Make up wise you could go for a taupe, gold, grey or brown smokey eye with a healthy glow to the cheeks and nude or rose pink lips. Or keep the eye neutral and emphasise the lashes and line your eyes with a black/ brown liner. You could team this with a peach, warm pink or coral cheeks and a slightly bolder lip. Or keep your face natural and glowy and opt for a pouty red lip.
Dusty pink and mixed blues are still here for 2019, they compliment each other so well and I always picture a dreamy, romantic feel to this colour theme. I think blue toned pinks look lovely on the lips, with fluttery eye lashes and dewy skin, or maybe go for pretty pinks, neutrals and greys on the eyes and pair it with a nude lip. You want your make up to look soft and feminine.
I hope you found this helpful and i’ll try not to leave it so long till I post again.
